University Curaçao mr. dr. Moises da Costa Gomez Frumencio is a state university Curaçao. It is a public university, graduated approximately three hundred students each year. The quality and extent of similar programs in the Netherlands. All of the programs offered at the college is accredited by the Nederlands-Vlaamse The Accreditatieorganisatie (NVAO).
University of Curaçao has existed in its current form since 1973. Its history, however, dates back to 1970, the year that the College of Law Netherlands Antilles was founded by a national decree October 6, 1970 (1970 OB no. 1130), to prepare students to take the exam LLB Antillean Law. Law School became the College of the Netherlands Antilles in 1974, after a degree program in Business Administration was established. Department of Business Administration was changed to the Department of Business Administration and Public Administration in 1977, then students can obtain a bachelor's degree Public Administration. Finally, with the foundation of UNA in 1979 by a national decree January 12, 1979 (OB 1979 no. 12), Antillean University of Technology (founded in 1972), has been transformed into the faculty of Engineering.
2011 University of the Netherlands Antilles was renamed the University of Curaçao mr. dr. Moises da Costa Gomez Frumencio.
